Slack Now Working Faster

This week Slack released a new version of its desktop application which will load 33% more quickly, while using half as much RAM. Performance will also be enhanced in the new version through its ability to take use of the app in multiple workspaces into account. RAM is saved because a separate instance is not created for each workspace. Calls made through Slack will also be connected 10 times as fast.

Users now have the ability to continue to review messages in Slack when their internet connection is interrupted. In the enterprise version, drafts will be saved across different workspaces.

See the announcement posted here by Slack, and the below demonstration of the difference in load speeds by The Verge, an online magazine focusing on technology.
