Here's a follow up to last night's tip which explained how open multiple web sites. Once you have those web pages open, you may wish to save them. You save URLs on multiple tabs at once using the SaveAll! add-on for FireFox. After installing this add-on you'll see a new option in the File menu to 'Save All Tabs As . . . ' which will let you save each open page in sequence.

A simple batch file can open up multiple web pages automatically in your default browser whether you're using IE, Chrome or Firefox. Here's an example

@echo off

start "EDRM" "www.edrm.net"

start "EDI" "www.ediscoveryinstitute.org"

start "Georgetown Academy" "https://www.law.georgetown.edu/continuing-legal-education/programs/cle/ediscovery-training-academy/"

You simply prepare a script like this one [the names given before the web page addresses can be anything you choose] , and put it in a text file and change the extension to .bat . Then double-click and each referenced web address will open automatically.

Neither Internet Explorer or Chrome will necessarily do a great job for formatting a web page for blow back as a hard copy, or to write to a PDF or other document image. See these examples of how each browser formats the home page of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model, www.edrm.net , in incomplete 2 page versions

INTERNET EXPLORER:

CHROME:

To get better results try using HTML Cleaner, specifically the page at, https://htmlg.com/html-editor/

You enter the HTML code on the right [just right click on a web page and select 'View Source'], and then a formatted version of the text will be generated on the text editor on the left.

Select File . . . Print in the text editor on the left and you'll see you can generate a PDF which is 13 pages long and a fuller representation of the web page.
