If you need help finding the pages in a PDF which contain RGB color, install the Quite a Box of Tricks plug-in for Adobe Acrobat, which is available at this site, http://www.quite.com/products.htm . There is a demo version available, and a license costs $205. You may need to help the software locate your Adobe plug-in folder upon install.

When it installs successfully, it should show up in the Plug-Ins folder for Acrobat:

As the name implies, Quite a Box of Tricks, has several features. Click on the Info tab to access the tool which will help you find color pages:

As you can see, this plug-in also gives you the option to search for the largest image in a PDF. Choose the radio button for 'Search for RGB (or Lab) colour images in the document."

By click Next, you'll be able to jump to the pages with color images on them. Color text may be ignored.

if you're working with an older version of Adobe Acrobat, such as XI, consider installing the new version, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC . A 30 day trial version can be downloaded for free.

One of the neat features of Acrobat Pro DC is that it allows users to save and access files in the Adobe Document Cloud You just need to go to the File menu and select Save as PDF and then pick the option for 'Document Cloud' . Another user logged into your account on another PC will be able to access the changes you make as soon as you have saved them to the Cloud.

Acrobat Pro DC will also automatically match colors, fonts, and style and allow you to edit even scans of hard copies with far greater proficiency than in past versions. See this example where we are editing a copy of the First Family's tax return and specifically changing the title.

As you can see the faded unusual font of the originally is perfectly matched, making the edit almost undetectable.
