Chrome Extension to Link to Any Area on a Web Page

A Chrome extension, Link to Text Fragment, will generate a hyperlink to selected lines on a web page. It can be added to Chrome at this link: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/link-to-text-fragment/pbcodcjpfjdpcineamnnmbkkmkdpajjg/related



When the extension is added you'll be able to select lines of text, right click and select 'Copy Link to Selected Text':

A new link will then be added to your clipboard. When this extended version of the web page's URL is clicked on it will jump down the same position on the web page as the text you selected:
