Changing Relativity Default Settings on the Server

Relativity allows default settings to be changed by the modification of instance settings in the SQL Server Management Studio application. For example, an analytics index will be disabled automatically if it is not used for more than 15 days. The MaxAnalyticsIndexIdleDays instance setting can be modified in order to increase or decrease this period.

The table with the instance settings is accessed on the server for a Relativity workspace. SQL Server Management Studio is used to edit multiple databases. One of these is the EDD.InstanceSetting database.

In Relativity 9.3 and later, an Instance Setting tab can be enabled. A new instance setting will allow a value to be assigned using a familiar looking layout form.
