Ransomware Attack on Epiq

This past week, one of the world's largest providers of electronic discovery managed services, Epiq, suffered a ransomware attack. Apparently, no customer data was compromised, but Relativity platforms hosted by Epiq were down today, and its web site was taken off line.

Tech Crunch posted an article which includes statements by an anonymous insider at Epiq who claims that the attack compromised computers at each of its worldwide offices, and may have resulted from the use of old versions of Windows(!).
