Adobe Processing Error 131


Yesterday after OCRing a set of PDFs using the Nuance Create Assistant utility, I received this error message when I opened the files in Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader.

The newly text searchable PDFs could be viewed normally in Nuance PDF Converter, but when reviewed in Adobe blank pages appeared. In order to solve this problem I had to convert the files individually in Acrobat to reader extended PDFs. See the option under File . . . Save As Other . . . Reader Extended PDF . . . Enable More Tools.
