Beyond Compare

I can't believe I've been doing this wacky blog for two and a half years and haven't posted about the file comparison application, Beyond Compare. A free version is available for download here, http://scootersoftware.com/download.php .

The most basic function of Beyond Compare is to detect the differences between two different folders and allow you to update one of the folders so that it contains everything in the source folder. As you can see in this screen grab, files present in the folder on the left but absent in the right, are shown in purple, and files on the left which differ from the versions on the right are shown in red.
