Exporting captions from a Active Presenter demo video

Sometimes after you've carefully created a demo video with captions in Active Presenter, as I did for last night's tip, you'll want to export the text of the captions. Active Presenter does not provide an easy way to do this, but it can be accomplished.

Go to the LOCALIZE tab and select Export to XLIFF. Accept the default settings and save the xliff file to your hard drive.

Install the XLIFF to HTML converter from LOC People, available at http://download.cnet.com/windows/the-loc-people/3260-20_4-10324019-1.html .

This utility will convert xliff file to a html in which you can easily select the captioned text.
