Trouble with Lotus Notes

The production of emails from Lotus or IBM Notes may pose special problems.

Producing emails with the standard template can cause addresses listed in the CC and BCC fields to be cut-off. See this posting on the IBM support page. It's explained that these problems occur when a user takes the following actions:

1. Deletes a recipient and saves multiple drafts of an email.

2. Deletes an email address which includes a comma.

3. A message is edited and saved as a draft multiple times.

IBM notes the problem stemmed from the mail template in versions 6 and 7 of Notes, and has been resolved in upgrades.

The Lotus Notes 'All Documents' view will not always display all available emails, as it can be modified by to exclude certain documents. See this entry in the IBM Knowledge Center on how an admin can exclude calendar entries from the All Documents view in the Domino directory.
