LTPI's Discovery Data Governance Model

The Legal Technology Professionals Institute has posted a Discovery Data Governance Model in the form of an Excel spreadsheet that provides a checklist for steps to be performed from information governance, through litigation, ending in a post mortem on the whole process.

The model encourages users to consider key steps from the perspective of the business, the government, outside counsel, service providers and third parties. The general thrust of the model is making sure that certain policies are considered and activities monitored and logged at different phases of the discovery.
