Windows Command: What Programs Open What File Extensions?


If you want to get a list of which file extensions on your PC open with which programs by default, go to Windows Search, type cmd for Command Prompt, and then simply type 'assoc' at the Command Prompt and press enter. A long list will be generated of file extensions and associated programs.
