ASAP Utilities
ASAP Utilities is a plug-in for MS Excel which provides a wide range of editing shortcuts. A 90 day, completely functional free trial version is available for download here: http://www.asap-utilities.com/download-asap-utilities.php . A license costs $49.
Note that this Add-in will not not work with the 64-bit version of Excel 2016, but it will function just fine if you have the 32-bit version of Excel 2010. Once it's installed you should see a new tab named, 'ASAP Utilities'. One of the more useful features allows you to combine the data in multiple columns. If you have a lot of columns, this will allow you to dispense with entering A2&" "&B2&" "&C2 . . . and so forth. This is a good alternative to the macro to concatenate cells discussed in the July 28, 2015 Tip of the Night.
1. Start with a worksheet containing data in multiple columns that you want to combine in a single column. See Fig. 1.

2. Select the columns that you want to merge together and then go o to ASAP Utilities . . . Columns & Rows . . . Merge column data (join cells). See Fig.2.

3. Enter whatever value you want to appear between the columns in the dialog box that appears.

4. Click okay and your data will be combined in the first column of the data that you selected.

ASAP Utilities contains numerous other tools that you can explore.
HAPPY 2016!!
