Use Google Scholar to look up case citations. Google's search engine allows you to select the federal or state court's whose opinions you want to search through. In the search results you can click on 'how cited' to see how the case was cited in other decisions There is also an option to get the form of the citation for the case, but this is not always accurate. See the example in the screen grab below. The cite, in a New York state court filing should be, Etzion v. Etzion, 7 Misc. 3d 940, 796 N.Y.S.2d 844 (Sup. Ct. Nassau County 2005), and in a filing elsewhere, Etzion v. Etzion, 7 Misc. 3d 940, 796 N.Y.S.2d 844 (N.Y. Sup. Ct. 2005), but never Etzion v. Etzion, 7 Misc. 3d 940, 796 N.Y.S.2d 844 (Sup. Ct. 2005).
