Your MS Word File is really a Zip File

Word files created with MS Word 2010 and later versions which use the .docx format are actually zip files which contain an assortment of several different files. They can be easily converted to the zip format, and you can access files embedded inside the Word file.

1. See this example in which several other MS Office files have been embeded.

2. As you can see it's in the .docx format.

3. Change the extension to .zip . . .

4. . . . and you be able to access the embedded documents in a subfolder at Test Document.zip\word\embeddings
