Relativity ARM Relocates Workspaces to New Servers

A Relativity systems admin can use an application called ARM (archive, restore, move) to relocate Relativity workspaces to a new server.

Multiple jobs can be handled simultaneously in ARM, which tracks which have been completed and which have failed, and also can be used to prioritize some jobs.

ARM can be used to restore a workspace with an archive of the workspace that ARM has previously created. The workspace that gets restored must be the same or a later version of the archived workspace.

When a workspace is restored with ARM it may be necessary to add users back to permission groups.

When archiving a workspace, ARM includes options to copy files that are linked to but not stored in the workspace, and an option to archive dtSearch and analytics indices created in the workspace.

Redaction Made Easy in RelativityOne

RelativityOne has made the frequently arduous task of redacting Excel spreadsheets easier. Redact XLS Navigator can be added to a workspace below the metadata field layout in the document viewer. On the lower right where the family documents are referenced. you'll find an option to pull up the navigator. It will allow you to select and delete comments, headers and footers, and other objects and comments, which Relativity lists and groups together.

Don't miss that there's also a button at the bottom of the screen which can be used to redact the name of a worksheet. Individual columns can also be redacted. If you are assigned to hunt through a spreadsheet for only a few rows which need to be retained, while the rest of data should be redacted, there is an inverse redaction option available.

The Advantage of Restricting Documents to One Category

Categorization analytics in Relativity allows a single document to be assigned to more than one category, but no more than five. If a document meets the criteria for more than the X value set in the Maximum Categories Per Document field, the document will only be assigned to the X most conceptually relevant categories.

There is an advantage to leaving the value in this field at its default value of 1. When a document is only assigned to one category, it will be possible to sort documents on the Category Rank field. There will be a one to one relationship between the document object and the rank field, and it will be possible to sort in the Analytics Categorization Result list.

If the max categories per document is more than 1, there will be a multiple object relationship for the document to rank values, and sorting will not be possible.
