You can use PowerPoint's Office Presentation Service to share your slide shows in real time online.

Go to the Slide Show tab and select Present Online . . . Office Presentation Service.

. . . you will be prompted with this message and can share your PowerPoint if you have a Hotmail account:

A web link will be created that you can share with others

Other people can even view your presentation in real time on their smart phone. My test PowerPoint worked fine when I put the link in the Chrome App on my iPhone 6. There was about a 5 second delay between slides advancing on my laptop and appearing on the phone.

You leave the current slide up for your audience, perform edits and then resume.

When you're in presentation mode in PowerPoint 2016, if you press the minus sign on your number pad you can get a display showing all slides in your show. You scan through the slides and then quickly jump the one you want to shift to based only on the visual of the thumbnail slides.

PowerPoint 2016 includes a tool on the Insert menu which allows you to add a screen shot from any other window that you currently have open.

If you click on the option for 'Screen Clipping' you be given the option to click, drag and copy of particular section of a window . ..

The tool also lets you add a hyperlink to any active web pages (so long as it's open in IE), which can then be accessed in presentation mode.
