PXE Black Screen

Windows 10 users may experience a scary shut down of their PC, where the screen goes black and you are presented with this message:

Start PXE over IPv6.

This error results when your PC can't find a network device with an operating system that the PC can be booted from. Disconnect any drives or devices that you have connected to your PC , and restart. This should solve the problem.

The PXE is the preboot execution environment, which allows a computer to boot via a network, even when no hard drive is present. The error message can also come up when the PXE is booted before the hard drive of the computer.
