Double-check Data In Excel

If you need to randomly check the accuracy of data in an index created in Excel against the original data source, use the RAND formula.    Add a new column to the left; type in =RAND() and press CTRL + D to pull down the formula for each row in your index.   Random numbers will be generated automatically.  Sort the entire spreadsheet by the new column, and review a representative sample.
