Mess Around with Evil Enron's Data
A huge trove of emails and electronic files acquired from the government after its investigation into the accounting fraud at Enron are available for download online. E-discovery professionals and others use the data to provide demonstrations of databases and test out manipulating data in other ways. Nuix and EDRM collaborated on creating a verson of the Enron data set from which all of the confidential information has been removed. See this site: http://info.nuix.com/Enron.html . There's a much larger version of the data set available on Amazon Web Services http://aws.amazon.com/datasets/917205 It includes more than a million emails collected from 151 custodians. The data is 10 years old, so it's rather out-of-date. The Nuix site allows you to download individual Outook .pst archives. You can easily find Excel spreadsheets and other electronic files to test out or demonstrate new macros and formulas on.
